We have begun preperations for a Summer 2008 crossing from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. The boat design has been
recently completed and as soon as the daysailer is out of the shop mold construction will begin. Our goal is to have
the boat in the water no later than May 1st for a June 1st departure.
This past week I met with folks from the Newfoundland Labrador Tourism Department. Most people think I am crazy.
I am reminded that my grandfather used to say that if anyone else thinks something is a good idea then you are too late.
I'm not sure how that applies here.
I purchased an immersion suit last week. I am working on being prepared rather than crazy. Sponsorships are starting
to come in. If you have a product, or even a product idea for open water rowing lets get together and develop or test
it on the Newfoundland row.
The new boat is almost planked and should be off the mold this by the end of this week. Look for in the water pictures
before the end of the month.
