     Welcome to CoastalRower.com!

This site is dedicated to providing boat designs,
inspiration, and support to open water rowers.

Check out TSCA.  Southern MA and Cape and Island Chapter being formed now! Visit TSCA via the links page and contact us if you are interested. First meeting will be in Bourne, MA on May 10th, 2008 at 2pm.  169 Clay Pond Rd in Bourne - unit #7.  The driveway is located directly accross the street from the Grand Union Grocery Store.

The mold for the whaleboat has been cut.  Planking is almost completed.  Check out the pictures via the "In the Shop" page.

Send us your submissions of places you like to row so we can share them with others.  We are looking for open water rowing pictures and pictures of various designs that people row.

Spring is here and it is now officially rowing season.  Check back every day or two for updates to the site.

The Coastalrower.com website is an attempt to create an online community of coastal rowers.  Our objectives are really quite simple:  To connect coastal rowers and those interesting in coastal rowing with one another and with helpful information about coastal rowing. The site will initially provide several areas we hope will be of interest.

Some of these areas will include: a Calendar of events, links to useful information such as launch site access, tides, weather, rowing clubs, molds for loan for those who want to build their own boats, and boats for sale.  We will also provide links to businesses that support coastal rowing with equipment and boatbuilding materials.

Additionally we will provide a means for you to share information about favorite rows. We will have a section of the site dedicated to boat construction and will share shop tricks on building and boat set up.

Finally we will provide some free plans and patterns for coastal rowing boats.  These will be down-loadable PLT files that can be saved and printed at any over-size print shop that services architectural customers.

I hope you enjoy the Coastalrower.com website and please provide the feedback necessary so that I can grow this site to meet the needs and desires of the coastal rowing community.
